Senior ASP.NET Developer - An award winning company in Glasgow City Centre have an immediate requirement for a Senior Web Developer with ASP .NET and C# experience to design and build web services and online applications for a wide range of social networking sites.
We are looking for someone with several years ASP.NET web development experience, preferably from an agency environment, who can bring experience of developing websites and online applications for large scale projects. You will be involved in technical architecture and system design as well as establishing the technical strategy for the platform and its future development.
Any experience in developing sites that integrate social networking elements or web services would be an advantage. This really is a great chance to work with a company of decent people and be involved in some really interesting projects that will challenge your technical skills. Technical requirements of the role are several years in a lead or senior developer role with at least 5 years developing .NET solutions using C#, ASP.NET and significant experience with Javascript. We are looking for someone with a solid background in web application development, with at least some experience of ASP.NET 2.0 and preferably some ASP.NET 3.5. We would like you to have some experience with SQL 2008 and a strong awareness of web standards and accessibility. We would also expect you to have experience of implementing Facebook Connect, OpenID and other social networking API's and platform integration tools, although this is not necessarily a prerequisite if you can demostrate a working knowledge and interest in this area.
You will be expected to lead the development team, so must be able to work on functional and technical specs and present ideas to colleagues and clients from a technical and user perspective. As such, you must be able to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical people.
If you are keen to progress your career, then this role will give you the opportunity to develop your management skills and offers a clear progression to Technical Director / CTO in the next 12-18 months.
